KJZZ has won a national Edward R. Murrow Award for continuing coverage of the Arizona #RedForEd teacher strike last year.

Senior field correspondents Casey Kuhn and Mariana Dale led the station’s reporting.

The announcement was made Tuesday by the Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA). KJZZ was one of only 16 winners in the large radio market category.

In April, KJZZ won regional Murrow Awards in the continuing coverage, news series, excellence in sound and hard news categories.
