Trying to figure out what the Phoenix Suns did on draft night? Well, so is everyone else.

The Suns drafted Texas Tech shooting guard Jarrett Culver with the sixth overall pick last night, and he wore their cap as he was introduced.

But the team already had agreed on a deal to trade him to the Timberwolves for the 11th pick and forward Dario Saric. With the 11th pick, Minnesota, on Phoenix’s behalf, took forward Cameron Johnson from North Carolina.

In another trade, the Suns got an additional first-round pick, moving up in three-way deal involving the Celtics and 76ers to acquire the rights to Virginia guard Ty Jerome.

Plus, they also dealt forward TJ Warren and the 32nd pick to the Indiana Pacers for cash considerations and cap space.

The trades can’t become official until July 6 due to league rules regarding the timing of transactions.
