There is a helium shortage in the world. And if you’re not someone who buys party balloons for holiday celebrations, you may not think it matters much.

But the element is also used for rocket engines and MRIs, and the shortage may affect the industries that deal with those products.

To learn more about the impact of not having enough helium and where we go from here, I’m joined by Phil Kornbluth. He is President of Kornbluth Helium Consulting.

Kornbluth says the world isn't running out of helium, and new mining projects could lead to a steadier supply.
