If you are planning on vacationing for the Fourth of July, you are not alone.

Whether by planes, trains or automobiles, an estimated 94 million people will travel for the Fourth of July.

Michelle Donati is the state spokeswoman for AAA. She said that figure includes more than 940,000 Arizonans planning to hit the road.

“The day the holiday does fall can impact it, so perhaps if it were to fall on a Tuesday, we know that traffic would be lingering from that weekend before or extend through that week of. But no matter where it falls, it consistently ranks as the busiest summer travel holiday," she said.

Donati added that represents a 4% increase from 2018 and is a new state record.
