Police in Tempe are investigating the robbery of a Bank of America branch, Saturday, in which the robber took a cab to the scene and allegedly left the area on a city bus. Lieutenant Jeff Glover says the suspect had some problems attempting to get away from the scene of the crime.

“He tried to go back to the cab that he had actually came in and was trying to hurry the cab driver to leave,” Glover said. “The cab driver would not leave, did not want to budge or move because of the fact that he simply said I don’t know where you want me to go or where I’m going to.”

Glover says the suspect instead got onto a bus, where he tried to disguise himself and asked the passengers for clothes, before getting off near a Wal-Mart. He says police were tipped off that the suspect was there and he was arrested while trying to buy clothes.
