From Iran to North Korea to the Middle East, President Trump’s foreign policy ultimately hasn’t been dramatically different, in most ways, from his recent predecessors.

But some critics have argued his inconsistency and social media rhetoric have caused issues for allies and adversaries alike. Other concerns include an emphasis on military might at the expense of diplomatic action through economic and trade efforts.

A new book by three Cato Institute scholars digs into those criticisms. It’s called "Fuel to the Fire: How Trump Made America’s Broken Foreign Policy Even Worse (and How We Can Recover)."

One of those scholars is John Glaser, and he joined The Show to talk about the issue.
