Arizona Gov. Ducey Has Sharp Words For Judge That Ruled Against Him On Proposition 123

Gov. Doug Ducey had sharp words for the judge who ruled the governor’s plan was illegal. Proposition 123 would have allowed the governor to take money out of the state land trust for education without first getting congressional approval.
"Judge Wake puts on a robe in the morning and thinks he's God. But he's not," Ducey said. "I want to tell you what everyone down at the courthouse needs to know: It's time for Judge Wake to retire."
The governor went on to call the judge an embarrassment to the legal community and predicted his ruling would be overturned on appeal, but many in Arizona’s education community are focused on what happens next.
The money that has been disbursed, and is scheduled to be disbursed over the next five to six years appears to be safe, but there seems to be questions about what happens after that.
