Economist See Rosy Future For Arizona

State economists are out with a rosy forecast for Arizona in the next fiscal year, projecting nearly $700 million as lawmakers prepare to bargain over a budget in the fast approaching 2020 legislative session.

That number relies on the state's strong economy, punctuated by growth in state revenues and higher-than-expected tax revenue.

This latest projection from the Joint Legislative Budget Committee on Friday depends on the economy staying strong against the unexpected, both financially and politically speaking.
