Tempe officials on Saturday will host the first of four public meetings to get resident input on the possibility of reducing speed limits citywide.

It’s part of Tempe’s effort to reduce pedestrian deaths, through the Vision Zero initiative. The meetings will take place this month and next; no reductions are expected before March.

The Show spoke with Julian Dresang, an engineer with the city of Tempe, to learn more about it.
