Arizona Rep. Paul Gosar, who voted against the budget deal which faces a key tally in the United States Senate on Tuesday, is refusing to criticize Republican Sen. John McCain who has said he will vote for the compromise legislation.

“There is another side of this coin,” Gosar said. “Now I see the aspect of people not wanting to go through another government shutdown or to have the hassles in regards to that, but in the same regards it’s got to be appropriate in the same type of cuts and bailouts.”

Gosar says the legislation delays much needed spending cuts for ten years and will increase the tax burden on Arizonans by giving the edge to the federal government when it comes to mining royalties.
