Every year, we’re reminded to get flu shots. Many of us do, but lots of people don’t. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the number of reported flu cases in Arizona is up substantially compared to last year at this time.

The Department of Health Services weekly report on flu cases show the number has increased a whopping 351% from the same week last year. That’s 733 reported flu cases compared to only 175 last year which, to be fair, was a down year.

To talk about the new numbers and what they mean, The Show spoke with Dr. Cara Christ, director of the Arizona Department of Health Services.
