U.S. House Democrats announced their support for a revised version of President Donald Trump’s United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement trade deal on Tuesday.

The long-awaited deal was welcomed across the political spectrum, but the announcement came just minutes after House Democrats also unveiled two articles of impeachment against Trump.

Despite the divisive backdrop of impeachment, Democrats were able to strike a deal with the White House to include stronger labor and environmental protections. So, what does this mean for Arizona, and how will the deal proceed as House members prepare to vote on impeachment as well?

Congressman Greg Stanton has been intimately involved in both conversations.

He talked about why he has pushed so hard for USMCA trade deal since his time as mayor of Phoenix.
