For years, critics have argued about whether Phoenix — the fifth largest city in the country — is a real food city, a place where big dining concepts thrive and surprise diners. Now, as we head into a new era, the question looms: Has Phoenix finally made it? 

The Show spoke with Dominic Armato, dining critic for the Arizona Republic, and Lauren Cusimano, the Phoenix New Times’ food editor, for their thoughts. They started by sharing about why Phoenix has been left off the list of great food towns for so long.
