A few years back, the Heard Museum hosted an exhibit that featured a ceramic vase. On that vase, the artist had painted a picture of the Incredible Hulk and his father as a boy reading a comic book.

That got Ann Marshall, director of curation and education at the Heard thinking about super heroes and their place in American Indian culture. The result is a new exhibit opening Saturday at the museum, called “Super Heroes: Art! Action! Adventure!”
