January is a month of renewal and also the time of year when many of us decide we’re going to make a list of resolutions and change our lives. But most people don’t follow through, and those dramatic shifts never actually happen.

That’s where BJ Fogg of Stanford University’s Behavior Design Lab comes in. He has studied human behavior and data for years, and his new book "Tiny Habits" explains how improving our lives comes down to little, consistent changes rather than completely upending what we do.

He joined The Show to explain why baby steps work better than big changes.
