The residents living at the old Westward Ho hotel in downtown Phoenix will be receiving free health care from Arizona State University.

KTVK-TV in Phoenix reports that the school recently announced nursing students will get practical experience by giving clinical care to tenants through a partnership with the hotel.

About 300 people who are elderly, disabled or indigent live at the Westward Ho.

School officials say the plan is for nursing students to provide care at clinics inside the hotel every week.

Construction of an expanded clinic at the hotel by ASU is scheduled to be finished in November.

The facility will offer services in nutrition, social work and therapy.
