This May was the second wettest recorded in Arizona history. Salt River Project customers found the rainy weather and cooler than normal May meant some savings. Customers kept their energy use down by not using air conditioning and other appliances.

Between May 2014 and May 2015 there was a 10-percent decrease in energy used by their customers, according to SRP. The average temperature last month was 79 degrees, about 5 degrees cooler than the previous year. 

Arizona Public Service was not able to provide their customer energy use.
