All of the major sports leagues in the U.S. have shut down games and on-field operations for the foreseeable future until more is known about the effects of the coronavirus.

One exception, though, is the National Football League. The NFL isn’t scheduled to kick off again until September, so games wouldn’t be affected anyway at this point, but the league’s free agency and trading period got underway as usual on Monday.

Other than the announcement that New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was leaving that team after 20 seasons, the biggest move was made by the Arizona Cardinals.

The organization traded former starting running back David Johnson and draft picks to the Houston Texans for star wide receiver Deandre Hopkins and a draft pick.

Scott Bordow of the Athletic joined The Show to talk about that move — and what it’s like to cover the NFL right now.
