Scientists around the world are working to learn as much about COVID-19 as possible, including trying to figure out the deepest aspects of how it is spread.

The amount of information is vast, and the numbers have been growing geometrically. One of the more popular elements to come about is run by Johns Hopkins University, and its map is attracting viewers from all over.

Mapping data is a key in helping researchers learn and understand more, and it can be used by leaders to guide their response to the pandemic.

To learn more, The Show talked with Matthew Scotch, an associate professor at Arizona State University and also the assistant director of the Biodesign Center for Environmental Health Engineering.

Scotch explained some of the aspects of tracking and mapping that are going on related to COVID-19.
