Five members of the Phoenix Coyotes will be playing in the Olympics next month in Sochi, Russia. The players will be competing for Canada, Sweden, Finland and the Czech Republic. Coyotes’ Co-owner, President and CEO Anthony LeBlanc said it can be nerve-wracking to have players skating for another team, but the Coyotes would not do anything to take away from the honor of playing for their country.

"Any NHL owner is always concerned when you’re taking some of your players and sending them overseas to participate in an international tournament," LeBLanc said. "But having that said, we’re so happy for our five players that have been selected by their respective nations. It’s such an honor to be part of that process."

The Coyotes will start their Olympic break after their game on Feb. 8 and will return on Feb. 27. LeBlanc said the team is excited about some big home games in March, hosting the Canadiens, Bruins and Canucks that month, among other teams.
