The Arizona Department of Transportation is looking for public comment on three potential alternatives for a passenger rail line between the Phoenix and Tucson areas.

Spokeswoman Laura Douglas said they have narrowed the options as they look at the best way of serving the state’s two largest metro areas, and rapidly growing Pinal County.

“This really kicks off three months worth of online participation, public outreach, where we really want to engage the public to tell us what they think about the three alternatives that we have under study,” Douglas said.

She says all three routes run along I-10 south of Eloy, but there are different options for connecting with the Phoenix metro area.
