Fiesta Bowl lobbyist takes plea deal

September 11, 2012

Former Fiesta Bowl lobbyist John MacDonald has agreed to plead guilty to one count of failure to report principal expenditures, a misdemeanor, entering into a deal with the Arizona Attorney General’s Office.

The offense is based on a 2008 trip that sent nine legislators to Boston.

MacDonald has also agreed to pay up to $4,600 in fines and to assist the state in its lobbying investigation.
