Preserving African culture through photography

More than thirty years ago, Carol Beckwith and Angela Fisher met in Kenya. Since then, they've traveled to forty countries and explored at least one hundred fifty African cultures. The renowned photographers and filmmakers have also collaborated on fifteen books. The two spoke with Steve Goldstein about what brought about their shared passion for Africa, along with the challenges and benefits of being women chronicling the traditions of the continent.
