Alleged government office bomber indicted

December 07, 2012

The Iraqi man charged with setting off a homemade bomb outside a Social Security office in Casa Grande has been indicted.

Authorities say 47-year-old Abdullatif Ali Aldosary researched bomb making and gathered supplies before detonating the explosive last week. No one was hurt.

Aldosary was indicted by a federal grand jury on charges of being a felon in possession of a firearm and maliciously damaging federal property using explosives. He reportedly came to the U.S. legally in the late 1990s, but didn’t get a green card because of his involvement with forces that fought against Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein.

Aldosary is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday in Phoenix.
