Arizona gun control supporters 'furious' with U.S. Senate

Arizona supporters of gun reform laws are not happy with the U.S. Senate's defeat of expanded background checks and other gun control laws.

Arizona House Minority Leader, Representative Chad Campbell says though the issue of extending background checks to gun shows and Internet gun sales, is not dead.

“From what I know Senator Reed switched his vote to force reconsideration. Based on the president’s conference today, I don’t think this is dead at all. I think this is going to be moving forward," Campbell said.

Meantime, former U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords says she is "furious" after senators blocked the legislation. Giffords is accusing senators who opposed new gun regulations of "cowardice," saying their decisions are "based on political fear and on cold calculations about the money of special interests like the National Rifle Association."
