The Arizona Department of Transportation is coping with computer problems that are causing real trouble for motorists needing to do business the Motor Vehicle Division. 

Spokesman Harold Sanders says the problems are not at MVD but involve the Department of Administration’s mainframe computer, which is dealing with the end of the state’s fiscal year. 

And while MVD is impacted by the problem, Sanders says ServiceArizona is not.

“Their access is through a different portal, but there are times, depending that ServiceArizona could be affected but it appears that ServiceArizona is not affected," Sanders said.

Sanders says MVD will do its best to accommodate people who visit their offices for service and he says the problems vary widely depending on which office is visited.
