Senator John McCain wants to clarify his position on how the Boston Marathon bombing suspect should be treated while in custody.  He says he does not think Dzhokhar Tsarnaev should be tried as an enemy combatant, but he thinks it was a mistake to read him his Miranda rights so soon.

"The administration in my view gave up a valuable opportunity to lawfully and thoroughly question the subject for purposes of gathering intelligence about potential future terrorist plots," McCain said.

McCain says now that the suspect has been hold he has the right to remain silent, he likely will, in this case.  He says national security should have at least temporarily trumped citizen's rights.
