More Arizonans support women in combat roles

A new poll from Phoenix-based Behavior Research Center shows a change in Arizonan's attitudes about military women serving in ground combat roles.

President Jim Haynes says the latest Rocky Mountain Poll shows 69 percent of respondents favor women serving in those positions.

"Considering...how peoples' attitudes on a lot of social issues are changing these days, it's probably not that surprising," Haynes said.

Haynes says the same poll found 83 percent of those surveyed want stricter enforcement of military regulations against sex crimes in the wake of recent scandals.
