Storms Most Likely Gone Until Weekend

We're starting a warmer, dryer time of the monsoon, according to National Weather Service Meteorologist Valerie Meyers, who says the only real chance of storms Wednesday, is in the higher terrain. But, she says that could change by Saturday.

“Over the weekend, we might see a little bit of moisture coming back in and the flow changing a little bit to where we might have some storms introduced again at least a little bit closer to the central desert,” Meyers said.

She says the feast or famine precipitation model is typical of the monsoon, but that storm clouds are likely to continue over the White Mountains and parts of eastern Arizona today.
