A pre-trial hearing is scheduled Wednesday for Aaron Saucedo, the accused “Serial Street Shooter” in a string of Phoenix murders.

Saucedo is charged with nine counts of first-degree murder in a case that vexed local and national law enforcement agencies for more than a year.

Authorities say the 23-year-old is responsible for a series of shootings that began in west Phoenix’s Maryvale neighborhood, ultimately killing nine and injuring two.

Saucedo has pleaded not guilty to the charges.

He has waived his right to appear at the hearing.
