More details have emerged about the shooting death last week of a famed forensic psychiatrist who once worked on the JonBenet Ramsey case.

Scottsdale police Sgt. Ben Hoster said the crime is connected to the deaths of two women at a Scottsdale law firm on Friday.

“We’re asking the public to remain vigilant and any tips or other information that might be out of the ordinary to please call 911 so we can get that information and get working on those tips,” Hoster said.

Hoster would not say in detail why the shootings of Dr. Steven Pitt and the two women are related.

Silent Witness and the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office have combined rewards in this case of up to $11,000 leading to an arrest.
