Arizona Senator Jeff Flake criticized President Donald Trump again on the Senate Floor on Wednesday, this time for Trump's comments about Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau following the G7 Summit.

“Issues we have with allies ought to be addressed through constructive dialogue," Flake said, "not bellicose taunts or bombastic tweets. Such behavior is beneath the presidency.”

Flake said blasting allies is just another part of a new normal under Trump, which he says he believes is not what the United States stands for.

“We stand in favor of preserving alliances based on 70 years of shared values," Flake said, "which have helped secure equally unprecedented peace and comity among nations.”

Flake added that he will continue to speak out against the president’s words and actions through the end of his term.
