Are Mega-Mergers Bad For Consumers?

The U.S. Department of Justice’s antitrust division tried to block the recent merger between AT&T and Time Warner, but a federal court has allowed it to go ahead.

The ruling could set a precedent for other mega-mergers between huge telecommunications and entertainment companies.

Could that be a risk for consumers? What consumers would potentially be most affected?
