The fashion industry used to be determined on a season-to-season basis by the well-known influential houses and companies. But that cycle has changed dramatically with increased technology and data available to consumers and producers alike.

Sector leader H&M had attempted to speed up its shipments even more to compete and found itself with $4 billion in inventory that didn’t make it to shelves on time.
