As wildfires continue to burn in California, Arizona is receiving more requests for resources.

Nearly 400 firefighters have been deployed to California to assist with the wildfires. Tiffany Davila with the Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Management says there have been additional requests from California fire officials.

"And were taking those on a case by case basis because, again, it’s not something we want to do depleting our resources here," said Davila.

Davila says the state will do what it can to help California, but the agency wants to make sure Arizona has enough resource to handle fires that might break out here.
