Overall, trends in the nation’s economy are pointing upward. Gross domestic product growth is strong, the unemployment rate is low and wages are rising.

But President Donald Trump’s move to start a trade war and apply tariffs on certain goods has a lot of people worried. And what about the growing deficit?
