We talked on The Show about the millions of dollars flowing in, both to support and defeat Proposition 127. The ballot measure would mandate that half of all electricity in the state come from renewable sources by 2030, not including nuclear power.

But the opposition to 127 has focused a lot on the measure’s funding source — a name we’ve heard a lot. California billionaire Tom Steyer has contributed more than $18 million to the campaign.

But Steyer sees his localized contributions as part of a larger effort to stop President Trump’s administrative goals. He joined The Show back in April.
