Phoenix Rising Football Club is hosting Swope Park Rangers, from Kansas City, Friday night, in the United Soccer League’s Western Conference Semi-finals.

That’s the team that knocked Phoenix Rising out in the first round of the USL playoffs last year.

To talk about the team, and its goal of moving up to Major League Soccer, The Show spoke with Noah Davis, a freelance soccer writer who’s written for ESPN and The Ringer, among other outlets.
