The biggest winners in the mid-term elections may be the broadcast companies that reaped $3 billion in revenue nationwide over the last nine months.

The nation’s 10 most expensive races spent collectively nearly $1 billion on TV and radio ads — Arizona’s U.S. Senate race among those.

Democrat Kyrsten Sinema and Republican Martha McSally’s campaigns combined spent about $70 million, according to Ad Age Datacenter.

Other Arizona candidates spent about $60 million since January on broadcast ads — a statewide record.

Ad Age reports President Trump has already amassed $100 million toward his own 2020 ad campaign — the largest in presidential history.
