The Arizona Supreme Court is scheduled to rule on the Hopi Tribe's challenge to snowmaking at a northern Arizona ski resort.

This is the third time the tribe has sought to end the use of wastewater for snowmaking at the Arizona Snowbowl. They say the practice harms the environment, interferes with their religious and cultural practices and causes a public nuisance.

A lower court ruled the tribe could not show specific injury, which is required to make a public-nuisance claim. The tribe appealed.

A decision from the state’s highest court is expected Thursday afternoon.
