Mesa is working with with PHX East Valley Partnership to launch a series of free workshops that will help people learn about potential investment opportunities.

"Angels" are people who invests their own money in startup companies. In exchange, an angel gets an equity share of the business. Typically, an angel can invest as little as $5,000 or pool money with others to invest more.

Starting Jan. 9, 2019, the city of Mesa and the East Valley Partnership will offer workshops teaching the basics of angel investing — from evaluating a startup to setting terms of the deal. To help startups succeed and create new jobs, experts say the Valley needs to increase early-stage investment.

Workshop Information

Jan. 9 – Successful Startups
How to Evaluate a Startup with No Revenue

Jan. 23 – Is This Company Worth It?

All workshops will take place at LaunchPoint in the Mesa Center for Higher Education located at 245 W. Second St., Mesa. They will run from 5:30 to 7:30 pm and light refreshments will be provided. Register online at evp-az.org.
