LA Teachers Head Back to The Classroom After Achieving Settlement

Los Angeles teachers are headed back to the classroom after a week-long strike. Union leaders approved a settlement with teachers in the Los Angeles Unified School District, the nation’s second largest school district.

A key sticking point in the negotiations was the reduction of class sizes and hiring more staff. Chris Woodyard is the Los Angeles Bureau Chief for USA Today. He’s been covering the strike and joined The Show to talk about it.
