Heart Attacks Declining Among Older Americans, Rising For Younger

There’s good news and there’s bad news when it comes to heart attacks.

The good news is that research shows there have been fewer heart attacks among patients between 35 and 74 years old. But there’s been an increase in heart attacks among younger people, and specifically younger women.

To find out more about this, The Show spoke with Dr. Sameer Arora, a cardiovascular disease fellow at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He was also the lead author on this new study.
