A new partnership called the Phoenix Precision Project expects to create hundreds of jobs over the next few years for people with autism and other developmental disabilities, in collaboration with The Precisionists, Inc., a Delaware-based company. Arizona's the third state the company has created jobs in, after Delaware and Tennessee.

“This is a big win for our community and our state. It represents public, private, philanthropic and nonprofit collaboration at its finest," said Denise Resnik, the founder of First Place, who recruited The Precisionists to Arizona. "It helps us set the bar higher for what we can expect for people who have a different ability and to create more hopeful futures.”

First Place AZ is a real-estate developer with housing and training programs for people with autism and other neuro-diverse disorders.

So far, Salt River Project, Arizona Department of Economic Security and Mobile Mini will participate in the project. The Precisionists also will establish a training and technology center in the Valley later this year. The project was established by the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce, the Greater Phoenix Economic Council and First Place AZ.
