Cotton crops in Arizona.

The United States Department of Agriculture's annual summary showed that in 2018 Arizona crop production fell across the board, except for lemons.

This season's lemon harvest is forecasted to be 1.4 million boxes. That’s a 40 percent increase from the year before.

But, when it came to field crops like barley, corn, cotton, hay and wheat, production fell this year.

Arizona farmers produced about 3 million bushels of corn, which is about half the amount grown last harvest.

And, cotton farmers produced less cotton this season, too. They are expected to produce 469,000 bales.
