The City of Scottsdale has made adjustments to its red light camera enforcement program, deactivating two red light cameras on Thomas and Hayden Roads and on McDowell and Scottsdale Roads.

Meanwhile, the city activated cameras at four new intersections: at Scottsdale and Pinnacle Peak Roads, Shea Boulevard and 92nd Street, Frank Lloyd Wright Blvd at the Greenway-Hayden Loop and Indian School and Hayden Roads.

City officials said since it started using enforcement cameras, crashes have decreased by about 23 percent and speeding has dropped by about 33 percent.

The cameras capture motorists running red lights, or going at least 11 miles per hour over the speed limit. For the first month, warnings will be issued to violators at the intersections with new cameras.
