ADOT Launches Updated 511 Service

The Arizona Department of Transportation has launched an updated version of its 511 travel information system.
Caroline Carpenter, an ADOT spokesperson, said while the 511 phone service has been around for years, the agency is continuing to improve the service’s web presence, including a new website that users can customize.
"They can save their favorite traffic cameras, put in destinations, get travel times as well as alternate routes," said Carpenter.
She also said the site includes maps for roads all across state as well as real time weather radars. She said the agency is also looking to launch Android and iPhone apps in the near future.
