Grand Canyon National Park.

The National Park Service has released a preliminary report about uranium ore samples stored in a museum building at the Grand Canyon.

The findings show previous reported radiation levels taken in June, 2018 at the building were significantly overstated.

The Park Service also said there is no current uranium ore exposure at the Grand Canyon.

The Park Service is using historical documentation and information from interviews to get estimates on the exposure when there was uranium in the building.

The final report will have estimates on the amount of radiation exposure at the Grand Canyon. Officials reported there is no residual contamination where it was stored.
