A bill that supporters say would address some of the concerns with the way charter schools operate in Arizona is set for a final Senate vote.

The chamber gave its preliminary OK on Wednesday, and if it passes on Thursday, it would move on to the state House.

Critics, however, worry Senate Bill 1394 would not do enough to rein in some of the abuses that have been documented in the charter school industry.

Sen. Kate Brophy McGee is the measure’s sponsor, and The Show spoke to her about it.
