President Donald Trump continues to criticize the late Sen. John McCain. The latest insults are over reports that McCain shared a dossier with information linking Trump to Russia.

Trump tweeted Saturday saying that a report that McCain spread the dossier was a “very dark stain” against the late senator’s legacy, before going on to criticize McCain for his decisive no vote in 2017 when Republicans were trying to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act. Trump was quoting former independent counsel Ken Starr.

“John McCain was an American hero who did so much for the country," Starr said Saturday on Fox News regarding the McCain report, "but this is unfortunately a very dark stain.”

McCain’s daughter Meghan responded Saturday on Twitter, saying that no one will ever love Trump the way they loved her father. She said she wished she could spend more Saturdays with him, then suggested Trump spend time with his family.

Meghan McCain returned to “The View” on Monday to fire back again.

Speaking on the ABC talk show, McCain says her father was Trump’s “kryptonite” while he was alive and continues to be his “kryptonite” in his death, and that she doesn’t understand why Trump continues to take shots at someone who passed away back in August.

“I just thought ,‘Your life is spent on the weekends not with your family, not with your friends but obsessing, obsessing over great men you could never live up to.’ That tells you everything you need to know about his pathetic life right now," McCain said.
